Empowering communities, one loan at a time

At Konga Microfinance, we believe in the power of microfinance to change lives. Since our inception, we’ve dedicated ourselves to providing small loans to underserved entrepreneurs, particularly women, helping them to start and grow their businesses, improve their living conditions, and uplift their communities

Konga Microfinance has disbursed over N$316 million across all 14 regions of Namibia, expanding access to capital where it’s needed most. Of this, 59% of loans, amounting to more than N$187.94 million—were taken up by women-led businesses, highlighting our strong commitment to gender-inclusive economic participation.

By the Numbers

  • Over 24,603 loans issued: to date, we have empowered more than 20,000 entrepreneurs.
  • 59% women borrowers: a significant majority of our loans have supported women, enabling them to achieve financial independence and play pivotal roles in their communities.
